What Time Should You Get to Disneyland?

What time should you get to Disneyland? Things are rapidly changing so this is a very tricky question to answer! Even with limited capacity, wait times to enter the parks have been fairly long. Here are some things to consider before you go:

Parking in the Structure
Disneyland says that their parking structures—Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals—don’t open until 8:30am daily. However, it’s been earlier since Avengers Campus opened on June 4. Disneyland could put these hours back to 8:30am at any time. If you’re planning on getting there before 8:30am, you may not have access, so that’s why many people begin their day at the Harbor Boulevard entrance.

Harbor Blvd Entrance
Everyone seems to know about entering on the Harbor Blvd side now, and parking at one of the nearby hotels (the Harbor Blvd side entrance is across the street from the Denny’s). Because this is no longer a “secret” it doesn’t seem better than parking in the structures. Also nearby hotel parking sells out incredibly fast—usually by 7am!

Waiting to Get Inside
If you get there before park opening, expect to wait about 40-60 minutes to get into the parks. This is due to screenings and ticket scans at the front gate.

Arriving for Avengers Campus
You can get into Avengers Campus by getting a boarding group number for the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure ride. If you’re worried about not getting a boarding group, expect a long wait for Avengers Campus. You can also get there earlier than 7am on the Harbor side entrance. Even then, you may still have to wait another 3-4 hours to get inside Avengers Campus. Bring a parasol/umbrella and sunscreen because it’s going to be hot this summer!

With all of that said, you can get to Disneyland Park at pretty much any time that you want. Everyone seems to show up very early now, so ride wait times bump up pretty much right away in the morning. I’ve been one of the first inside and still had to wait 30 minutes for the first ride because the park wasn’t fully open yet.

In short: expect to wait! Also, ANY of this could change at any moment. I post tons of Disneyland updates my Disneyland Instagram—you can follow me here. Also check me out on TikTok for Disneyland tips! —David
