Back in 2018, Disneyland ran its first Pixar Fest in alignment with the opening of Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure. There were characters to meet, new attractions, and tons of food! In fact, I hadn’t seen a food festival like this before at Disneyland. Snacks offered included sweets, savory items, and even a flavor-changing corn dog! Though the corn dog isn’t scheduled to return, one of my favorite Disney cakes, the Pixar Fest cake, will be back at Plaza Inn on Main Street!
However, in 2024, we’re getting much more than food. There will be new characters to meet like Wade and Ember from Pixar’s Elemental. We can also check out photo ops in both parks, and a Club Pixar dance party in Hollywood Land at night. There’s also a new daytime parade at Disney California Adventure, and the return of Pixar fireworks at Disneyland—with the UP house flying near Sleeping Beauty Castle! I love Pixar because its stories remind us what’s important in life: family, friends, caring for others, and more. Disneyland will spend months celebrating these special moments for us all to relive again and again!
