You’ll want to read these Disneyland June tips before you visit! See which Disneyland rides will be closed in June, when the park closes early, and special attractions. Summer is sneaking up on us, and so will the influx of visitors for the season.
Attraction Closures
The following attractions are scheduled to be closed in the month of June. Note that we still don’t have reopening dates of Haunted Mansion or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. All dates are subject to change:
- HAUNTED MANSION – Closed All Month
- GREAT MOMENTS WITH MR. LINCOLN – Closed All Month
- THE MANY ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH – Closed All Month
- REDWOOD CREEK CHALLENGE TRAIL – Reopens June 21
Great news for parents of little ones needing a play area in Disney California Adventure. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Grizzly Peak is reopening on June 21. Don’t miss the chance to meet Dug from Up in this area. Dug will be the talking version of the character who currently roams Grizzly Peak throughout Pixar Fest.
Disney Genie+ Recommendations
Not all Lightning Lanes are created equal! During the month of June, here’s a list of Lightning Lanes I recommend prioritizing during your visit.

Pride Nite
Disneyland After Dark Pride Nite events are happening on June 18 and 20, and they’ve already sold out! On these dates, Disneyland Park will close early at 8 PM. Note that Fantasmic! and the Together Forever fireworks will not be showing, and only the 3 PM Magic Happens parade will run.
Disneyland Fantasmic! Viewing Tips
The nighttime spectacular is back almost every night at Disneyland Park! Watch it at 9PM and 1030PM from Rivers of America. I recommend the second showtime as there are fewer crowds and it’s easier to get a closer spot. However, if you watch the first show, you’ll be able to stay and watch the fireworks. Disneyland displays that show’s projections on the water with the fireworks to the right.
Weather Tips
June in Southern California often brings “June gloom” with cooler, overcast mornings that clear up by early afternoon. To stay comfortable, consider layering with a light jacket in the morning, which you can shed as the day warms up. Full summer weather usually doesn’t hit until July, so be prepared for these varying conditions.
With these tips in mind, you’re all set for a fantastic June trip to Disneyland! Enjoy the magic and all the special experiences this month has to offer.
