Is Star Wars Nite at Disneyland Worth It?

Starting in April, Disneyland will begin hosting its exclusive after hours event, Star Wars Nite. In 2023, tickets sold out in days, but this year the theme park resort doubled the number of available dates. So you may be wondering if you should grab a ticket yourself and if it’s worth the hype.

What is Star Wars Nite like? Picture this: Disneyland, but covered in odes to everything Star Wars. It’s all of your favorite characters, music, photo ops and more smack dab in the middle of the happiest place on Earth. Think lightsabers, stormtroopers, and droids roaming around, mingling with the crowd under the glow of neon lightsabers.

Alright, let me spill some space beans about my own experience at Star Wars Nite. Instead of me telling you whether it’s worth it or not, I’ll lay out the facts. First off, there are tons of rare characters, projections, and photo ops. These are from all over the Star Wars universe from A New Hope to The Mandalorian, there’s plenty for every fan to enjoy. And the food? Let’s just say they’ve got concoctions that would please Grogu to no end! Plus, the whole place is decked out with projections and setups that make you feel like you’ve crash-landed right into the ultimate Star Wars fan tribute. And the best part? You can dress up! Yep, dust off that Jedi robe or Stormtrooper armor because here, it’s all part of the fun! Just keep in mind Disneyland’s costume guidelines.

Now, let’s talk Star Wars Nite Disneyland logistics. Sadly, this year fireworks will not return for the evening. I hoped that they would though other after dark events have cut them from the lineup including Sweethearts Nite earlier this year. In addition, Star Wars Nite tickets start at $159 a pop. Dates include April 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30, and May 2, 7 and 9, 2024. May 2nd, the closest date to May the 4th, the sacred day for Star Wars fans, is already sold out (not surprised, honestly). But fear not, my fellow travelers. All other dates are still up for grabs on Disneyland’s site. So, if you’re up for a journey to a galaxy far, far away – and you’ve got a bit of credits to spare – buckle up and prepare for a night of intergalactic adventure!
