Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill is closing for refurbishment at Disney California Adventure beginning April 29, 2024. The quick-service restaurant in San Fransokyo is known for its popular QuesaBirria tacos. The restaurant is scheduled to reopen on May 25, 2024.
When the Big Hero 6-themed San Fransokyo opened last year, hardly any changes were made to Cocina Cucamonga’s menu. However, the exterior of the restaurant updated to include multi-cultural theming to fit in with the land. The QuesaBirria tacos have been a popular food item for several years. They are braised beef and cheese tacos with tomatillo salsa and consomé to dip the tacos in. I find them filling and incredibly savory!
While Cocina Cucamonga is closing, more Mexican dining is coming to Disney California Adventure during Pixar Fest. From April 26 through August 4, guests can dine on Coco-inspired eats at Paradise Gardens Grill. New meals include a Carnitas Wet Burrito, Al Pastor Tacos, and plant-based Huarache with soy chorizo beans and seasoned steak.
