The Disneyland Resort Lunar New Year 2022 celebration kicks off with new food, entertainment, festive music, and more. The limited event runs from Jan. 21 through Feb. 13, 2022 at at Disney California Adventure Park. The festival has been building over the years, bringing more exciting surprises for guests to enjoy. However, the food is one of the standout attractions this year with heaps of tasty bites to sample.
I tried EVERY snack at the Marketplace kiosks—and some of the drinks, too! There are four different kiosks that serve up Asian-inspired bites, sweets, and more. Best of all, this festival is included with your daily admission to Disney California Adventure. This post is my definitive list of everything guests should try during their visit.
GET THIS: Mickey Purple Sweet Potato Macaron from Red Dragon Spice Traders—a red macaron filled with purple sweet potato buttercream and crème fraîche center. For the most part, it tastes like a classic Disneyland macaron with a perfectly flaky cookie and a hint of earthy sweet potato buttercream. $6.50
GET THIS: Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao from Prosperity Bao & Buns. It’s a spongey bao filled with savory barbacue shredded pork. It’s also topped with pickled red onions and jalapeño for some extra zest and spice. $8.00

SKIP THIS: Shrimp Fried Rice from Lucky 8 Lantern. Though the Shrimp Fried Rice was fine, it wasn’t one of my favorite dishes. The rice was a bit overcooked and I thought the smokiness of the bacon topping didn’t go well with the tangy glazed shrimp. $8.00
GET THIS: Beef Bulgogi Short Rib from Lucky 8 Lantern. Disneyland nailed the savory flavor of the beef bulgogi. The dish tasted right out of a Korean BBQ restaurant and the rice even had a bit of a spicy kick! $8.50
